There are a whole bunch of other aftermarket operating systems like ProtonAOSP, DivestOS, LineageOS, etc.
CalyxOS is not a hardened OS like GrapheneOS. It rolls back security from the stock OS. It recently went 4 months without shipping Chromium and Android security updates.
