Option #1: NATO defends Ukraine, with a 50/50 risk of nukes.
Option #2: Putin kills millions and eventually occupies Ukraine. Then he moves to the next country, and we are back to option #1.
Option #3: Putin is overthrown from inside.

There's plenty of time to fast track Moldova and Finland into NATO but the governments of all the NATO countries and those countries would need to believe that this is a real threat. Moldova has a similar situation as the Donbass already...
Even if they invade all of Ukraine, it won't be the end of the conflict. There's going to be continued resistance, even in a lot of the east. They aren't going to be able to hold Kyiv through a puppet government. They'll have to stay there indefinitely fighting a forever war.
