I feel almost certain that standing up for 2.5 hours of lecture didn’t make my back and knees hurt this much when I started this job

the way I think about it is, I slept better camping on basically the hard-ass ground 20 years ago, than I sleep in my soft bed right now

Most beds are way too soft. I prefer sleeping on my back but didn't actually realize that until I experienced having a comfortable bed where you don't sink into it with hardly any support. Also developed habit of sticking arm under the pillow to compensate for most being awful.
