I made a Ryzen 5950X build due to it being delayed but that's really not enough despite using 2 workstations at the same time.

It's entirely possible it will be a whole year from this benchmark of an early revision before the product is actually available. Not sure it if it has much to do with the chip shortage since it's a ridiculously high margin product and would get priority.

Productivity boost from having a 64 core Zen 3 workstation alongside my existing 16 core one would be huge.
Maybe they've simply cancelled it because supposedly Zen 4 Threadripper is coming out this year with an 128 core variant which is fairly hard to believe at this point.
