If I didn’t have unvaxxed kids I would have considered it this summer, but no way now.

It'd be an even more miserable experience than the usual commercial airline flight. If you were being careful, you'd need to go hours without eating or drinking. You'd put on an elastomeric respirator before going in one airport and only take it off after you get out the other.

I think the chances of getting COVID are pretty slim with an N100 half face mask respirator. If you were worried about getting it through your eyes you could wear a full face mask one. I think there's a higher chance I get it from air coming in from the hallway outside my condo.
I already hate the experience of flying on a commercial airplane and want to avoid it if at all possible. I think needing to wear a respirator for hours without eating / drinking would make it a lot worse. Imagine if your flight gets delayed by 6 hours or something. No thanks.
Unfortunately, then I’ll be in a hotel and I’ll need to eat a few times a day, and do whatever was the reason I traveled there in the first place… people everywhere
