my idiot dog who i love very much ate the turkey off our counter today, incl the knotted butchers twine. can't find a vet anywhere, they are all full of other dogs who ate things they shouldn't have on Christmas. do any of you have experience with this? worried about the twine

Feeding them a small capful of hydrogen peroxide will cause a dog (or a human) to vomit within 10-15 minutes of administration. It works best within ~1-2 hours after they've ingested, and on things that aren't likely to cause damage on the way out.

There's nothing particularly bad about them eating a ridiculous amount of turkey beyond them feeling sick from overeating. The twine isn't really that far from when they eat grass. Cooked bones would be worth worrying about but making them vomit could be worse than not doing it.
