my idiot dog who i love very much ate the turkey off our counter today, incl the knotted butchers twine. can't find a vet anywhere, they are all full of other dogs who ate things they shouldn't have on Christmas. do any of you have experience with this? worried about the twine

Cooked or raw? If it's raw I wouldn't worry at all. People feed raw meat including the bones instead of pet food with great success. If cooked, the bones can puncture the intestines and I'd keep looking for a vet.

Cooked turkey/chicken bones are definitely not something they should eat but a lot of dogs do often eat those without issues. Amount they ate does make it a lot more likely it would an issue.
If they're on a regular schedule tomorrow without blood in their poop, should be fine.
