my idiot dog who i love very much ate the turkey off our counter today, incl the knotted butchers twine. can't find a vet anywhere, they are all full of other dogs who ate things they shouldn't have on Christmas. do any of you have experience with this? worried about the twine

It's unlikely the twine would be an issue. It's not the kind of thing that would get stuck. They commonly make themselves sick eating grass which passes through them pretty much as is since they can't really digest it. The twine is probably longer but doesn't seem much different.

Extremely unlikely the twine will cause any issues.
Cooked turkey bones are a lot more likely to be an issue but dogs eat that kind of thing all the time without issues. It's risky and not something they should eat but it would still rarely cause any serious problems for them.
