Ok so N95 is the USA high particle elimination standard And KN95 is the China high particle elimination standard But If you're in Canada And you buy an N95 mask What does that... mean Does it mean the US government approved it Or can Canada approve N95 too. Is this NAFTA

I had a difficult time trying to get respirators in canada back in march. there's a list of authorized masks, but they include FFP2/3, N95, KN95, KF94 and some sketchy brands with proprietary formats: canada.ca/en/health-cana

in the end, I got a box of 20 moldex NIOSH approved N95s from ULINE (they didn't have 3M in stock at the time). they have better prices than most sellers, and you're pretty much guaranteed a good quality product if you buy 3M or Moldex.

3M masks with replaceable filters are really nice since rubber seals far better while being a lot more comfortable. They all have exhaust valves but a lot of them make it easy to seal it. It's unfortunate they didn't make new variants of these industrial ones meant for COVID-19.

Can also buy some of their gas filters, keep them sealed in a bag and use them for working with bleach, paint, etc. Bleach is a nice way to test the seal is working properly since you shouldn't be able to smell it when using their gas filters like 3mcanada.ca/3M/en_CA/p/d/v.
