This ridiculously overkill industrial tier fan has an impressively soothing sound at max speed. Can confirm a 1080 Ti FE under a stress test is louder. noctua.at/en/nf-a14-indu Set it to reach 2200 RPM at 90C CPU temperature (which it won't reach) so it peaks at around 2k.

I'm using those regularly in water cooled gaming rigs. 2K models are also nice since they have lower range for quiet operation. Though NF-A12x25 are the real deal. Hope will upgrade the rest of the models with Sterrox soon.

There's louder ambient background noise than the lowest speed for the 3k RPM fan so it doesn't make a difference to me. I was originally going to get a 2k RPM variant but the 3k RPM variant was on sale for less. Don't have a use for the full 3k RPM but somewhat above 2k is nice.

It's working well for my new Ryzen 9 5950X build. Happily running at 4.5GHz across all 16 cores and could go a bit higher without getting too hot with the new exhaust fan. Noctua is also missing a scaled up NH-D15 or something even better to cope with 32 / 64 core Threadripper.
