Malicious Tor exit nodes have been blocking connections to the GrapheneOS releases.grapheneos.org server to stop users getting updates. If you aren't able to download updates, try without Tor. We're considering making a hidden service that's used when available to avoid this.

We're still experiencing these issues. Maybe it's worth checking again? It seems intermittent. In fact, some users are reporting that they're not receiving updates without cycling through exit nodes via Orbot. It implies that this isn't just something small scale at all.
