It's likely just residue short circuiting the board. May need to remove switches to get proper access but they're probably fine. I think it likely didn't get much in the switches. It goes down onto the board. Top opening of the switches is elevated and covered by keycaps.

The contacts are huge and it's not a hard soldering job if you do actually need to replace them or temporarily remove them. I'd try just cleaning it as much as possible with 99% isopropyl first. You can be pretty aggressive with it as long as it's very high concentration.

In theory, you could actually bathe it in 99% isopropyl but it'll strip away all the lubricant in the switches and probably dry out the top layer of plastics. I wouldn't want to do that because it could make pressing them feel rough at least without more lubricant.
