Why???? Spilled coffee on my keyboard and now the ‘d’-key don’t work. 😭Any ideas on why?

You can unsolder and replace the switch. People do it all the time. I know someone that replaced all of them.

It's likely just residue short circuiting the board. May need to remove switches to get proper access but they're probably fine.
I think it likely didn't get much in the switches. It goes down onto the board. Top opening of the switches is elevated and covered by keycaps.

The contacts are huge and it's not a hard soldering job if you do actually need to replace them or temporarily remove them. I'd try just cleaning it as much as possible with 99% isopropyl first. You can be pretty aggressive with it as long as it's very high concentration.

I wouldn't want to bathe the switches in it because it might be hard to get them properly lubricated again and I doubt it got inside any part that matters. Just be aware it dissolves paint and isn't good for plastic/acrylic. Don't put it on keycaps.
dude!!!! thank you so much! i hadn't even begun guessing at what could be wrong. :D.

You'll have to figure out what it looks like opened up from back and how easily you at least run 99% isopropyl alcohol over the board(s) to get residue off. You can probably resolve it without needing to remove switches.
