SWEET!!! updating firmware requires disabling Windows 11 mode...
And y'all wonder why it's disabled by default!?
This whole situation is just a growing clusterfuck. :D

It's gonna be so ducking great to no longer have stability or feature updates thanks to "security"!!
This firmware update helps compatibility with latest GPUs and adds resizable BAR support.
Glad this won't be an option in the future, and instead we'll be locked forever :p

You need to disable TPM in order to make the update, and then activate it later, or you'll have (and will be able) to activate it manually?

It's a badly done implementation of insider attack protection by whoever designed it. It's not supposed to be done that way but rather if you have a password set it should require the password to update and can tie the TPM into how the password is secured.
I don't think they would be able to get away with doing it that way once it's enabled by default. It's a problem on existing hardware. Not requiring it by default led to it being really badly done. Of course, requiring a feature can't require them to implement it securely anyway.
