Honestly, if this isn't confirmation that the process is biased I don't know what would be. Joe makes great content so this isn't a dig on him... It's just, the only difference is that he's a man.

Ya. We were looking for a clear comparison that applied with the same stuff. By follower content, course creation, and general profile I feel like I’m it 🤷🏻♀️

The current categories for applying are pretty bad. I don't understand why they're being so arbitrary and selective for verifying individuals. Most of that seems to be handled by an external service.
Why do they need to apply arbitrary/inconsistent rules about notability anyway?

Because people were pissed that it was arbitrary and inconsistent before...such improvement

Our open source project used to have a verified account but we didn't get a response to requesting verification for the current account. It's neither rejected or accepted.
Our old account got hijacked by the company formerly sponsoring the project despite them having no access.

Former sponsor didn't have the password, phone number, 2FA credentials (TOTP app + security key, no SMS) or access to the email account.
What they did have is control of a domain used for the *previous* email account months earlier, but not the email used to create the account.
I think the account being verified helped them hijack it. They were able to get quick access to a higher tier of support willing to hand over the account to a company using the project's brand without looking into it or even treating it as a dispute.

No response from them to this day, 3 years later.
recently tweeted a link to our project's site but I can't get in touch with anyone to look at what happened with this.
Twitter support being astoundingly terrible and unaccountable for their actions is my experience.
