Got it for 1059.99 CAD which is lower than the retail price of 1149.99 CAD.
1059.99 CAD is currently around 877.54 USD which is higher than the retail price of 799.99 USD.
1 USD was around 1.25 CAD in April and is now around 1.21 CAD. Canadian retail price hasn't been adjusted.

So, according to Newegg, it was on sale. It's more expensive elsewhere including simply being sold for 1149.99 CAD (retail) at Canada Computers.

I'm not bothered by the premium from currency conversion since it can't be expected to adjust that quickly.

That's definitively good price for that. Close to MSRP, compared to Serbia. The cheapest available in Serbia is 830 EUR, which is over 1k USD!
And that's actually not that horrible, compared to RTX 3080, selling at around 4x MSRP at 2873 USD!

Luckily I don't need a GPU for my workstation beyond rendering some terminals and a browser.
Desktop has a 1080 Ti and that's perfectly fine with a 4k 60Hz monitor and lack of time or interest to play any game more demanding than CK3 in the near future. Not even doing that ATM.
