Decided to buy a Ryzen 5950X while it was actually still available. amazon.ca had already started bumping up the price again so I just got it via newegg.ca. Amazon says their supply is already down to 16 and Newegg is down to only 4. Glad I got one...

Going to keep around my old workstation / build machine until I'm able to truly replace it with the highest end Zen 3 Threadripper later this year. The Ryzen 5950X can then replace my current desktop and the old Intel workstation / build machine can be retired except as backup.

Got it for 1059.99 CAD which is lower than the retail price of 1149.99 CAD. 1059.99 CAD is currently around 877.54 USD which is higher than the retail price of 799.99 USD. 1 USD was around 1.25 CAD in April and is now around 1.21 CAD. Canadian retail price hasn't been adjusted.
