twitter.com/amszmidt/statu FSF folks think people assigning copyright to the FSF means they did the work. Maybe GCC should go back to being called EGCS.

The standard "I made this" meme.

Developer is talking to Richard and hands over and awesome magical widget.
"I made this", the developer says proudly.
"You made this?", asks Richard inquisitively.
The developer leaves. Richard stares at the wondrous widget and frowns, confidence shaken.
Richard's frown fades away and he tells himself "I made this", fully believing it to be true. He smiles.

You claim to have no association with the FSF but work on multiple projects where you (happily) assign your copyright to them. I'm not sure what you want me to change. You're posting replies in multiple different places attacking people for not wanting to assign copyright to FSF.

"places attacking people for not wanting to assign copyright to FSF." -- I never said any such thing, the GNU project / FSF require copyright assignments for GCC. Simple as that. If you do not want to assign copyright then the change cannot be incorporated.

Official GCC policy is available at gcc.gnu.org/pipermail/gcc/. Your attacks are visible on Twitter. People can peruse those at their pleasure if they're into that kind of thing. You sent emails to a bunch of people via the GCC mailing list and posted on those threads on Twitter.
