WTF is this dark pattern to cheat me out of the fast shipping I paid for?

Do you have Amazon Prime? I'm assuming you don't.
They probably want to get you to use the yearly free trial for 1 month where they hope you forget to cancel before the end of the month and then end up paying for 1 year of the service automatically.

Yes, of course - that's what I mean by fast shipping I paid for. They're offering a *slower* option (looks like a relabeled copy of the "Amazon Day" bs) as default selection above what should be the default (fastest possible).

I pay for Prime, and yes it's ick, but I damn well want to actually get what I'm paying for rather than this dark pattern bs to save Amazon money.

It seems like all 3 of those are weirdly different Prime shipping options. My experience with them is that they usually deliver things at the same speed with or without Prime other than Prime delivering on Sunday. Only really matters when they're busier than they planned to be.

"Amazon Day" is a thing they introduced a year or two ago to try to spin slow delivery to sound appealing ("consolidate all your orders to arrive on a single day"). It's definitely different from normal Prime shipping. And the new default strangely conincides with it...
