I worry about this kind of thing a lot. I get a friends request on Facebook, and it's someone I know with a lot of friends in common, so I accept. I used to ping people on other channels to confirm, and when it's really important I still do, but people find it very weird.

They still have some people duped including room admins for rooms about open source projects, including official rooms. It's a mess. They initially admitted to what they'd done which was helpful in the rooms where they admitted to it but now they're covering it up + accusing us.
