freenode has now added 'rasengan' as a spam filter, and will disconnect you from the network if you say Andrew Lee's nickname in a channel with Sigyn, their antispam bot, if you're wondering how that's going.

Equivalent to this happened with our attempt to temporarily bridge to freenode to encourage people to migrate away from it: twitter.com/DanielMicay/st Server with our matterbridge instance (same one running the grapheneos.org Matrix server) is IP banned for saying libera.

I initially added freenode alongside Matrix, Telegram, libera and OFTC to our matterbridge setup after we moved to proper new Matrix rooms. The reason freenode isn't bridged is because they banned the bridge bot for saying libera repeatedly due to the [platform] <user> prefix.
