We've migrated about 50% of the GrapheneOS and GrapheneOS Off Topic rooms to standalone Matrix rooms created on May 19th. The Matrix rooms are still #grapheneos:matrix.org and #grapheneos-offtopic:matrix.org but are no longer bridged to freenode IRC.

We're tackling 3 problems at once: dropping the invasive IRC bridge, room upgrades and escaping the freenode takeover.
Our main room was on a legacy room version with serious issues. Room upgrades aren't usually important or worth doing right now, except from that ancient one.
Replying to
We registered #grapheneos and #grapheneos-offtopic on libera.chat and if you refuse to use Matrix, you can go there. However, it isn't bridged, and nearly everyone is on Matrix. Consider trying weechat-matrix. It'll be a better experience than a potential bridge bot.
