LLVM is such a leaky abstraction when you depend on anything that does not have code coverage by clang :-/

C does have restrict but it's not really used in practice.
A lot of these issues are bugs for C, even without restrict, but you don't hit them in practice. Standard library using little a bit of restrict exposes them even if you don't use it too.
