This is why we must abolish the system. Imprisoning a person who has proven that they have reformed makes absolutely no sense.

This morning, because of their own error, the Alabama Board of Pardons & Parole revoked Sgt. Lett's parole and issued a warrant for his arrest. He will be taken into custody tomorrow morning - his 53rd birthday. twitter.com/hannahcrileyy/…

> Following a struggle with addiction, he was arrested for a drug offense and incarcerated. It's not a legitimate reason to imprison someone in the first place. Drug addiction is something to address through health care, not a prison system. It doesn't make any sense at all.

Seems his conviction was for having enough cocaine to arbitrarily have it considered trafficking. Doesn't appear he harmed other people or was ever a danger to them. Shouldn't have been in prison at all. Not sure how this is an appropriate way to treat people's drug addiction.
