Please be aware that a Matrix / Element exploit is being used in the #grapheneos:matrix.org and #grapheneos-offtopic:matrix.org to impersonate GrapheneOS developers. They're adding special characters to the end of a nickname not shown in Matrix clients.

See grapheneos.org/#history for a basic summary of the history. GrapheneOS is the continuation of the original open source project. CopperheadOS is a closed source product based on our legacy code from the former sponsor of the project. They're unfortunately waging a war on us.

GrapheneOS was formerly known as CopperheadOS (can see this from the many forks of our repositories on GitHub like github.com/CopperheadOS-T). Company was founded a year after it started and sponsored it. Ended up trying to take over the project, failed, and now tries to harm it...

I *still* own 50% of the voting shares of Copperhead. The CEO simply doesn't care. Treats it as his company and uses it as a weapon to try wiping out the project it was supposed to be supporting. It's sad. He never believed in open source or privacy/security.
