These raids on our channels have escalated substantially and they've become more underhanded. They often pretend to be GrapheneOS users and concern troll. They aim to get banned and then join other channels supportive of attacks on GrapheneOS to complain. Got lots of proof.

Yesterday, they spent 12 hours spamming our channel. It took a substantial moderation effort to deal with it. At times, the Matrix room had to be closed to new users. This causes harm to our users. Copperhead is truly desperate and while they'll deny they did it, it's very clear.
Replying to
This is a log from near the end of the spamming. They switched to claiming to have found a vulnerability while being unwilling to provide any details or evidence. The session matched some of the spam accounts and I let them dig themselves into a hole:

They ended up revealing themselves as a Copperhead sockpuppet in the private message with me. They weren't clever enough to get themselves out of the hole they created for themselves. The aim is to troll, get banned, and then misrepresent what happened in other communities.

Copperhead frequently makes sockpuppet accounts pretending to be GrapheneOS users. It's not at all exclusive to our communities. They aim to create conflict and drama. Our users know that we don't want them bothering other communities and will be banned if they do this stuff.

Please do what you can when you see this happening. They are very active across many Matrix and Telegram channels. Don't disrupt channels or bring up off-topic conversations but when you see this happening point it out. Use evidence-based arguments against their misinformation.
