Here's what I was talking about when I said that I could never betray our users by giving James control: twitter.com/DanielMicay/st I was aware he wanted to do this. He's the kind of person willing to sell out users for money and now he has given himself the power to target them.

We've archived these tweets where Copperhead's CEO admits to them tracking devices via unique identifiers and using them as part of the update system. He admits that their phone sellers with Copperhead emails, etc. have databases mapping unique identifiers to the customers too.

They forked our carefully designed update system and turned it into something able to target users with specially crafted updates along with tracking users. He's entirely capable of deciding to ship malware to a specific person's phone because they stand up to him or for money.
