I'm tired of the daily misinformation campaign and intimidation of our contributors by Copperhead. I'm tired of spending $3000/month on legal fees to deal with their bogus lawsuit and for filing our own lawsuit against them based on their fraudulent copyright claims.

Lots of contributors to GrapheneOS have been threatened in one way or another by James. He recently made legal threats against someone that's under 18 for using code that I wrote and which was originally published as Apache 2 licensed. I own it, but it doesn't really matter...

His bogus claim that Copperhead owns my open source work wouldn't even change very much considering the code still published under fully open source licenses until January 2017. January 2017 to mid-2018 was non-commercial which was my unilateral choice and I've chosen otherwise.
