They're the ones choosing to a misinformation war against GrapheneOS along with threatening/intimidating anyone who contributes to the project, even people that are underage. You say it should be settled in court but they're making daily attacks on us causing lots of harm.

GrapheneOS not a for-profit project. We're not selling any products. We're focused on building privacy and security technology. They're focusing all their resources on causing harm to us in any way that they can, and on marketing a product simply copy pasting our codebase.

This is primarily not a legal dispute. It's largely a personal vendetta against me by James Donaldson and now also Max. Their poorly formed lawsuit against was primarily a way to exhaust my time, energy and resources along with intimidating people to stop them from contributing.

They did not file a serious lawsuit against us. They used a bargain bin lawyer working out of a shared WeWork space with little trial experience and lack of relevant experience on IP law to file a poorly conceived lawsuit as part of overwhelming us with attacks on the project.

It impresses me how thoroughly James brainwashed that little bubble in the Bitcoin community with his manipulation. We don't see this from anywhere else. Certainly not the community that was around and following the project when this stuff happened or much earlier than that.

I believe this is just the result of them having marketing, which GrapheneOS obviously does not have in substantial amounts other than word of mouth. Calling it "brainwashing" is a little harsh.

James is so openly desperate and pathetic with his sweet talking, manipulation and false narratives. I really do not understand how people fall for it. I don't understand how people who support Bitcoin support something completely antithetical to it that should be super familiar.

Do you have a positive opinion of people who fall for Craig Wright's bullshit and promote him and BSV on Twitter. It's completely transparent bullshit, just like this. They support something against their claimed principle and values. Also, being scammed != helping scam others.

I don't attack people who fall for scams. I blame the people at the top who knowingly spread misinformation. Presenting the facts should enough for everyone else, and I encourage you to stick to the facts.

This is one of the people at the top: an influencer in a community helping a company scam people and helping to cause harm to an open source project. They should know better. A GrapheneOS contributor did try to reach out to them and they weren't interested in reason or evidence.

They're friends with Max and they're going to listen to whatever he has to say, and it's very apparent that Max is a very toxic person who takes great pleasure in causing harm to GrapheneOS and myself simply based on his grudge against me. I don't think he cares beyond that.
"They should know better" != "part of an organized misinformation campaign".
With all due respect, you are being pretty toxic in this situation. I understand CH have put you under a lot of stress, but lashing out at unrelated third parties isn't a solution.

They aren't at all an unrelated third party. They're someone that has been actively helping Copperhead for weeks and was given every opportunity to be reasonable. They've chosen to spread dishonest claims about us to cause harm to the project. That's entirely their choice.
