Finally got my Twitter account unsuspended.
Last time I was able to tweet, Trump was still President.

So what happened? I have no idea. They both suspended and unsuspended me with no notice whatsoever.

I've never gotten a response from Twitter about the prior account being hijacked. It was tied to my phone number, had non-SMS 2FA and a strong password. I never got a notice about it and have never received any response to them about it. No opportunity to contest it.
This whole thing sadly makes me want to get a blue check... just so this doesn't happen again

I got the account verified based on my email and phone number back when verification was open to applications.
I do know exactly what happened since Twitter leaks information about the current email tied to an account via the account recovery process. Can tell what they did.

I do know what happened: they were talked into rolling back the email address from my current one to a prior one. Both emails were daniel.micay@ but the older one was at a domain controlled by someone I no longer trusted. Twitter happily helped them hijack the account from me.
