I stated that I don't think we should be going after any of the people involved without clear evidence that they did something untoward. I brought up the co-author of the RFC and brought up their role to question doing this. It was clearly not how it's being misrepresented here.

You posted the name and job title of the second author of the standard. At least some of that information isn’t in the thread. Now from my perspective that’s public information, so NBD. But when your perspective is “don’t implicate people on Twitter” you have to admit it’s odd.

You posted their name and the accusation that this was a malicious standard intended to be a backdoor. You're totally misrepresenting what I said. It's like you trying to accuse me of directing people to attack Salter because I mentioned her name and job title as context.

It's not clear to me how this Extended Random feature could be used as a backdoor. I'm open to being enlightened. It essentially looks like cargo cult nonsense that's harmless beyond adding unnecessary code. Am I missing something? I'm just not seeing how it could be malicious.
