twitter.com/GrapheneOS/sta This is so tiring. Don't get a single day without multiple serious attempts to harm the project by Copperhead and their associates. They reach out to tons of people trying to trick them with their false narratives in private. They threaten contributors.

If you receive legal threats from Copperhead based on their fraudulent claims of ownership over our work please get in touch with us. There's no basis to these claims and we're looking into providing protection for contributors and other open source projects via indemnification.

I wrote the code and own it. I never assigned copyright and didn't write it on behalf of the company. The issue is there's a manipulative narcissist obsessed with causing harm to us because he thinks it's in his self-interest. He'll do anything that he can to cause harm to us.

He'd find other ways to intimidate people and cause harm to us with bogus claims and lawsuits. It's not the only way he's doing that. He has gradually come up with what he thinks is a good story about what happened by lying about how things were set up and our agreements.

So, sure, it might be easier if the laws were better and he couldn't intimidate people so easily with them. It would be nice if we had a better court system and laws. It's not the real issue. He would find other ways to harm GrapheneOS, myself and the other developers.
