I think he heard about it today via the Bitcoin community. Even if it doesn't go beyond that, it's a lot of attention for the project and right when we've made it substantially easier to install. Still needs a lot of work for non-technical end users but the community helps.

I can't get text messaging to be reliable under graphene, it always waits to notify me until i open the messaging app, and if several texts come in it won't even download them all. sometimes it won't even downloadt the new text until i go into the messaging app, sometimes it will

With which messaging app? For SMS, the Messaging app should work fine. Signal works fine out-of-the-box. WhatsApp requires configuring it to keep open the background connection for push. Other messaging apps may not have push without Play services available.

Don't use Signal as the SMS app in secondary users. It doesn't work properly. Same issue on the stock OS and elsewhere. Since we encourage using secondary users, people run into these uncommon app bugs more often. Termux is a rare example that's totally broken in secondary users.

I'm using the default Android Messaging app, probably as the primary user. I haven't setup any secondary users intentionally.
