Registering a .ca domain requires having an affiliation with Canada. Quite amused that "Her Majesty the Queen" is one of the options domain registrars need to provide in their menus.

Also love how the Canadian government thinks it's reasonable to have a forbidden list of words for individual names. If your parents named you "Golf", you aren't allowed to register a .ca domain as an individual. Fair enough in that case, I suppose. The word list is pretty silly.
