It appears that the GrapheneOS subreddit was maliciously mass-reported as being adult material and we're unable to toggle it off in the preferences for the community. So, now we also need to get in contact with an administrator at Reddit. Have unresolved issues from before too.

I'm guessing that's what happened. I also never got the wrongful ban on my previous account removed. We haven't had a good experience with the platform, but we still post official announcements there and we're trying to find active moderators to open it up more again.

At the moment, we filter all posts so that they need to be approved by moderators. AutoModerator is set up to post that the subreddit is in maintenance mode and redirect them to IRC / Matrix. A lot of people do end up coming to the chat channel from Reddit based on that.

Now a lot of people that are subscribed to see the official announcements will miss them and there's a major barrier to entry to looking at it, especially on mobile. On mobile, Reddit tries to force people to make an account and use the app in order to view anything marked NSFW.

Reddit is overall awful on mobile. It defaults to some amp view where you can't see 90% of the comments, and nags you constantly to install the junk app.

It's somewhat less bad if you sign into an account but they keep making it worse, and they've started making it so that it ignores requesting the desktop page. The new site is terrible as a whole. It's ridiculously slow to respond, etc. Old version isn't properly maintained.

How does it ignore request for desktop version? UA? I have a UA spoofer for that.

They seem to store that you're on a mobile browser in a cookie, etc. and refuse to show the desktop site. If you're requesting the desktop site from the start, it won't do it. I wouldn't be surprised if they started doing more of this since they don't seem to want it bypassed.
