The new release also includes the latest Vanadium. It has a backport of an upstream fix for opening URLs in other apps on Android 11. Due to privacy and phishing issues, we're disabling the autofill assistant. Also disabling telemetry for component updates for when we support it.

The currently supported devices don't provide 5G. On a device with 5G support, you can configure it to only use 4G and below with the standard Android Settings app. GrapheneOS provides the fairly unique ability to disable support for older protocols too with the 4G only mode.

Thanks for the clarification Daniel. I mistook it as running 5G devices on LTE only mode. The Pixel 4a 5G is indeed poorly named. I'm considering getting Pixel 4a once it is made available in India, so wanted to make it double sure. Thanks for sharing the FAQ's.

I was explaining that on a device with 5G support, you can use the standard Android LTE and below mode to disable using 5G. I further added that our LTE only mode can be used to only use LTE. It has nothing to do with which devices GrapheneOS supports.
