github.com/tomwassenberg/ is a nice implementation of reliable OCSP stapling for nginx to work around trac.nginx.org/nginx/ticket/8 not being implemented.
We've used it without issues for a few years. It handles OCSP server downtime + restarts well. Deploying Must-Staple is painless.
