github.com/GrapheneOS/har was written by me as an entirely new project in the weeks leading up to August 2018. It was not based on my previous code. It only uses the hash table implementation from the upstream OpenBSD malloc. It's insane for Copperhead to claim any credit for it.

It just goes to show the ridiculousness of their claims. It's bad enough to claim ownership over the work I did on my independent projects while the company was associated with them, despite explicit agreements saying otherwise. Claiming work I did afterwards is just outrageous.

I know I posted about this already, but I can't get over how shameless they're willing to be. They also claim ownership over my open source work before the company was founded. I paid the same money for my 50% ownership as James Donaldson and it's as much my company as it is his.

Not without respecting the licenses including providing appropriate attribution. The MIT license including the copyright header has to be included in derivatives and they can't be claiming credit and ownership over my work. Also, some licenses are more restrictive than that.

They initially forked my code from the period of time where it was all non-commercial usage licensed. It was my code, and I was the one shipping it. Copperhead needed my permission to use the code for their business deals, etc. James respected that until after he pushed me out.

GPLv2 (kernel) requires that the code is made available to everyone that it's distributed to and they have to be allowed to redistribute it themselves. They cannot be forced not to distribute it by having them sign an NDA. That's a violation of the GPL. Open source doesn't mean

that you can just do whatever you want with the code without respecting the licenses. It doesn't mean that no one owns the code. Developers own code they're written unless they've assigned it to someone else which was never the case here. In fact, it was EXPLICITLY the other way.
