There's a coordinated campaign by Copperhead to spread misinformation about GrapheneOS. The approach tends to involve concern trolling: dictionary.com/e/slang/concer.
Be wary of comments claiming to be from people who support GrapheneOS but which spread false narratives attacking it.

We currently only have official support for Pixels, but it works on other devices. Supporting non-Pixel devices is planned and the main thing that's needed to finding a suitable device meeting the requirements. Xiaomi Mi A2 didn't turn out to be suitable, but it was pretty close.

Now that there's a secure element provided by Snapdragon, the main thing we need from devices is full support for installing an alternative OS. That means supporting all the hardware-based security features with an alternative OS. Historically, this was only done by Pixels.

GrapheneOS doesn't require "rooting" and isn't "rooted". In a production build, the standard AOSP security model is intact including verified boot. It is possible to make a debug build of GrapheneOS with root access via ADB. Our official builds are production builds without that.

While it may be annoying, being picky about devices goes a long way in securing the OS.
