making screenshots by long pressing on/off button is missing in the november update. is that deliberate?

That's now only present for 2-button and 3-button navigation. It's in the recent apps menu for gesture navigation so it was removed from the power button action dialog. AOSP re-enabled it for 2-button navigation in this release so we stopped unconditionally enabling it.

This change is listed in the release notes for 2020.11.03.03. It's the last change that's listed. It's only still present in the power dialog for when it's not available in the recent apps menu, which takes a swipe instead of holding the power button down.
