The CEO of Copperhead, James Donaldson, is a narcissistic psychopath. He pretended to be my friend while manipulating and gaslighting me for years. He completely betrayed me and went back on all our agreements. He has tried to retroactively rewrite history, but it won't work.

We have records proving these falsehoods along with witnesses who experienced these things publicly and internally. If you want to help us, get in touch with me or help cover the expensive legal fees (grapheneos.org/donate). Legal fees for September alone were just under $5000.

I'm still co-owner of the company with 50% of the voting shares. It doesn't belong to James Donaldson. The lawsuit we're filing ourselves is focused on fraudulent claims by the company about the authorship and ownership of the code. We may need to file other lawsuits beyond that.

Stealing over $100k of donations from the project in violation of our agreements and what was promised to donors is one of the particularly egregious actions.
He has abused his the position as director and has a total disregard for his obligations to me as a 50% shareholder too.

He could start by not personally targeting me and presenting information on GrapheneOS in an incredibly biased way. He misrepresents it as my personal pet project despite it having more developers and testing than CalyxOS.

Similarly, he only talks about the performance cost of hardening while not mentioning any of the privacy of security benefits associated with it. Talks about it as if we don't have documentation laying out privacy and security benefits along with the performance and memory costs.

The best way to help would be not making things worse and finding a way to address the damage that has already been caused. It plays into the attacks on GrapheneOS by Copperhead and they are fully aware of it and taking advantage of it.

It has helped created hostility towards GrapheneOS and myself. There are regular raids of our channel with abuse directed towards me from people in his community. It also seriously disrupted our collaboration with CalyxOS. It's already a struggle without more problems like this.

I don't think the coverage was fair and it omitted important information provided by a member of the GrapheneOS project. The hardening features responsible for different kinds of costs were explained, including costs not included in his coverage, along with what those provide.

He repeatedly misrepresents it as my personal pet project and makes it seem unserious or less suitable for production usage than GrapheneOS when the actual situation is quite the opposite. He has made numerous personal attacks on me in his channel and jabs on me in his videos.

Copperhead is very aware of him and has used his content as part of their attacks on GrapheneOS. There are regular raids on our channel directing personal insults at me and linking a segment from one of his videos ridiculing our work.
