Yes, there are many relevant changes to the OS protecting against exploitation and improving encryption.
GrapheneOS also only officially supports device with strong hardware-based encryption support. This is important for protecting data in profiles without a strong passphrase.

It's best to ask for information on the GrapheneOS IRC / Matrix channel rather than like this. I don't have time to give in-depth, detailed answers to everyone who contacts me. There are other developers and knowledgeable people in the community. Give them a chance to answer too.

If you ask a very general question, you're going to get a general answer. If you present a specific situation at least as a starting point, you'll get a more specific and detailed answer. Present a scenario / threat model and ask specific questions on the #grapheneos channel.

Also recommend reading the community documentation written on GrapheneOS and past posts about these topics. It's unrealistic to repeat answers every time someone asks questions. Very detailed answers and information have been given about encryption, user profiles, and so on.
