I had removed my tweet about CopperheadOS. I knew this project from a distance memory, and apparently things have changed throughout the years. The original dev then created GrapheneOS. Here is a link to a more detailed explanation, judge it for yourself grapheneos.org/#history

CopperheadOS doesn't have the full September security patch level (2020-09-05) or the October security patch levels. It also isn't based on the latest release of Android with the substantial privacy and security improvements it brings. They just have their branding and marketing.

The issues with their own product are definitely business as usual. What's quite unusual is that the company is heavily focused on trying to destroy the project they forked to create their product.

They are seeking out this conflict and are continuing to escalate attacks on GrapheneOS and myself. The history section on our site was added in response to their continued campaign of spreading falsehoods about GrapheneOS and myself. Similarly, that's why I'm posting here.

They filed a lawsuit against me based on a bunch of false claims and misrepresentations. They have little chance of winning. I've filed counter-claims and I'm filing my own lawsuit against the company. Perhaps I should also file one against James Donaldson as an individual.
