I had removed my tweet about CopperheadOS. I knew this project from a distance memory, and apparently things have changed throughout the years. The original dev then created GrapheneOS. Here is a link to a more detailed explanation, judge it for yourself grapheneos.org/#history

It's a proprietary OS with tracking / DRM in the Updater app to enforce their licensing. They masquerade as being the original open source project that they forked. They've fraudulently claimed ownership / authorship for my work including code, blog posts and documentation.

The issues with their own product are definitely business as usual. What's quite unusual is that the company is heavily focused on trying to destroy the project they forked to create their product.
