Publishing our apps on the Play Store provides us with very useful feedback from users. Just kidding. It's tiring getting completely unactionable negative reviews. Not sure why people can even leave beta feedback when it's the same version of the current stable release channel...

As far as I can tell, there's no way to even report these kinds of reviews. At least with the main review section, I can report reviews with nothing to do with the app for an automated response confirming my report was carefully reviewed and rejected by some useless algorithm.

Good luck getting such feedback removed. I've heard it's very hard to do, even if the comment is nonsense.

Yeah, get a lot of negative reviews with nonsense claims such as claiming that the app compromised their device. People mostly use reviews to ask questions, leave bug reports (almost always involving them misunderstanding the app) and post unrelated content and other nonsense.

The app where this user reported this feedback? It's play.google.com/store/apps/det (Auditor), our app for performing hardware-based remote attestation on a selection of modern Android devices. It's primarily intended for GrapheneOS but it works for the stock OS on assorted devices.

Thank you so much for all your work on Auditor app and GrapheneOS!
I can empathize that must be frustrating to get this spam as your app feedback.

Are there really a significant number of people that trust Google Play Services and the Google Play Store that also understand just enough about security to gain any value from something like Auditor?

You're confusing not going through major inconveniences for privacy from a specific major corporation with not caring about security.

haha, I wonder where these people come from taking their personal pain on feedback. Seems that guy can't do a shit to anything else but the feedback
