It doesn't have a USB-C port so it doesn't get to do this to me. The only issues that I have with Windows right now are tied to the NVIDIA driver. Every time I switch back over to it and it wakes the monitor, it discovers that there's a monitor attached with DisplayPort sound.

It tends to cause audio problems and every single time Discord *partially* switches over to using the new audio device which causes me a lot of confusion. I had to unmute the monitor speakers (which I never use) so that I can easily tell when this starts going wrong.

I used to run games on Linux when they either had native support, but I stopped bothering with that when I switched to 2x 4k monitors and it's also nice to have one computer (Linux) strictly for work and the other one as my personal desktop.

A common issue is that I'll be trying to do something like GrapheneOS release builds, which just involves a whole lot of waiting and occasionally switching over to check up on it. The USB-C issue will end up locking it up sometimes, especially since I keep switching back to it.

Doesn't happen if there's no USB-C device attached even though the USB hub / switch and input devices aren't USB-C. I should probably just get a power bar to plug in a bunch of AC chargers for the phones and give up on trying to use USB-C but... it's not quite the same.

Thanks to the USB-C fast charging, I can take a phone with a dead battery, plug it in and start doing stuff with it immediately including it running a demanding workload on the CPU/GPU. It's sadly worth all the pain that it causes me.

if you're not using 2.0 only type-C cables there's an additional issue (which I hit a few days ago!) where if the SS lines go bad but HS lines are ok, fastboot works but adb doesn't

I had some other fun issues because my Linux workstation install was copied over onto a new filesystem from the SSD I took out of my long dead T530. I'd set up assorted power saving features for audio, USB, PCIe, etc. and I've had to turn that all off due to assorted problems.
