Isn't this flaw inherent in most/all SSO/OAuth? Good reason to reject that, and another reason why abandonment of OpenID was such a shame.

Yes, I always go out of the way to avoid it. I use a throwaway email unique to the site when I'm not making an account meant to clearly be me. If it's a throwaway account with nothing sensitive, I don't bother having control over the email myself and use a public temp one.
