Our focus is porting to Android 11. There are no plans to add support for more devices in the near future. No one is working on adding more devices. Pixel 5 is not even released yet and even once it's released it will initially be supported only via a separate AOSP device branch.

We will not add support for a device that is not yet supported with the mainline AOSP branches. It would be a substantial time after the release of the device before we would even be willing to consider accepting support for it. Device maintainers would need to step up to do it.

Please read through grapheneos.org/faq#device-sup. Support can only be added for devices meeting the requirements where maintainers step up to implement and commit to long-term support for the device including porting work like what we're having to do to support Android 11 right now.

No one currently contributing to the project plans to take on maintenance of additional devices beyond the Pixel 4a. More device maintainers would need to step up to support more devices, and the project would need more developers and more funding.

Even the Pixel 4a is not currently on the table. You can read at the linked release notes that we need to do an enormous amount of work including porting work specific to each device in order to migrate to Android 11, which is very important. Really not the time to add devices...
I was just curious, nothing else. I read about GrapheneOS some time ago and decided to give it a go.
So before I go out and buy a new phone for the purpose, I just wanted to know about the upcoming Pixel 5.
Thank you for the reply.
