If you clone the repositories and look at the commits, you'll see all the changes from the original project applied on top of AOSP are attributed solely to danielmicay@gmail.com. Also some backports and an addition to the PaX exception list from someone else committed by me.

You can look through the network graphs for the repositories at github.com/GrapheneOS at the other examples. Similarly, look through the old subreddit posts and the archive of the website. You can confirm the project started long before 'Coppperhead Limited' was incorporated.

You can confirm that it was an open source project without copyright assignment and the donations that were being made to it were said to be going towards the developers of the project. Truth there on GitHub, in the Internet Archive and in the legacy /r/CopperheadOS subreddit.
