Maybe-awful idea: Linux should support MAP_UNINITIALIZED not just on nommu, track privilege domain (vm space) of freed pages not yet zeroed and recycle them back into same domain.

Doing it as "pages still associated with the process but freeable and relocatable for future mmaps" seems perfectly reasonable though.
